My element is Vanadium.Vanadium can't be found in the world, but can be traced in different elements. Andres Manuel Del Rio found Vanadium in the mineral Vanadinite. The idea for my print came from looking around for the purpose of my element in the world. There weren't many. It was either a vanadium wrench and a vanadium car battery. I chose the vanadium car battery because it seems that it is more important to the world and it makes a statment to an element that no one really knows about. I cut my plate with a cutting tool too carve out the basic shape of my car battery. I painted the surface of the plate and pressed it down to a peice of paper so the outlines of the carving wouldn't show thus making the print above.I liked painting the prints the most. For next time, I want to make a better carving so the print could look more clearer.
